I've the following problem:
In the details section I have a field (@members) which looks like this

if {table.code} = "X"
then {table2.memberid}

I want to do a distinct count on (@members), because a member appears more then once, but it counts a "0" as well, which I don't want.
Can somebody help me with this problem?
Thanks in advance

How is it that the value of {table2.memberid} is equal to zero? Do you even want these records in your report?

When the member doesn't have the code "X" it becomes zero. When I do a distinct count it counts the zero as well, so when I have 30 members it counts 31.
I hope you can understand my problem...

Is you report grouped? Also when you do a distinct count, how do you do it? Are you writing a formula or what?

Yes, the report is grouped on a class_id.
I just click 'insert summary' when I right-click my formulafield in the detail section.

You need to do a distinct count on {table2.memberid},

Place {table2.memberid} on the report, right click > insert > summary distinct count. You can now remove {table2.memberid} from the report if you wish.....

Thanks dgillz and Reebo for the help.
I've made the selection on {table.code} in the select expert and placed the {table2.memberid} in the report and
it seems working fine now.
Thanks
