Suggestions????

Hi guys,

I was just wondering what everyone thought. I am look to get a new pc and would like to get one of the slim computers. I don't want to go to Vista right now so I would like to get it with XP installed on it. What brands/models does everyone suggest. I was looking at the Dell XPS which is a little more then I wanted to spend. Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Why Slim?
What do you want it to do?
Are going to do gaming on it or just Email and such?

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

I will be doing mostly school work and such. So basically Internet, Office, Itunes. The reason I am looking to go slim is I like the size of them I don't have a lot of room and would like to save space where I can.
