Hi all. I have a Realtek 8139 Family pci fast nic card. I just changed the settings to use 100mbps full mode. There is no "full duplex" option. Is there anything else I can try to fix the choppy videos and movies.

I also tried to find an updated driver from Realtek and MS but no luck. If anyone knows where I can get a reliable update I'd appreciate it.

I am supposed to have 100mbps from ISP. And they are to be upgrading their equipment so I don't know if that will help or not.

Thanks in advance.

30KB/s is only about 6 times faster than dial-up and is very likely the reason streaming video is a problem for you.

Thanks for clearing that up. Hopefully your ISP can resolve the issue. You'll want it to be in the ballpark of at least 100KB/s.

Thanks cdogg for letting me know what my ISP speed really is doing. I have been questioning it for some time.

I did call the ISP and was told I should "pause" the online video for about 30 seconds then play it. Buffering is what he called it. If my speed was really at 100kb/s I shouldn't have to do so. I am going to send an email with your reply to my ISP and see what excuse I get.

Thanks to all of you for your help. If I do find out my SIP service was the cause for all the problems I'll try and let you know.

Thanks again.
