i want to open one database from another database and carry a value between the two.
any ideas?
ive tried creating a variable in the first db, connecting to the newly opened database via ADO, but im still not sure how exactly to pass the value of the variable. Am i on the right lines?

is there a way to open a database and immediately pass it a value, as an argument or something?

Anything gratefully received.

Maybe the best way to do this would be to link the tables, rather than try to pass the variable from one database to an other.

not sure that would be best.
im going to have upwars of 20 people going through this database - bound to get write conflicts to the table storing the value. If that is what you meant?
If not please explain further....

thanks.
