Hi,

A department at one of my sites is breaking off and coming under ownership/management of another company. Part of the agreement is that they will continue to use our phones and phone system/voicemail and we will charge them $20/phone per month for use. The question came up as to how we will charge them long distance and I don't have a good answer. We do not have CDR software at this site so I can't generate my own reports/bills for the extensions they will be using. Is there an easy way to break these numbers of and make them unique without making global setting changes? These are digital phones running on a CS1000. Let me know what you think, thanks!

You can setup a tty to capture the raw CDR data to a text file on a computer and may be able to manipulte the data in an excel spreadsheet.

Set them up as a separate customer on your system. Give them their own PSTN trunks.

Find a cheap call accounting system and put it in place to recover costs from this customer. You can provide records and a bill professionally.
