anyone have any suggestions on capturing smdr data. i am currently using computers running procomm. i would like to have a device that does not require a computer that would store the data then forward it on either via modem or internet.

I have hooked PC's using TABS call accounting software. It allows you to manipulate data and save to disk. I had one customer hook PC to network so they could access info from network.
Good Luck!!

there are different smdr buffers availaable, one is at: One thing these do is need something to poll them to get their report which means you will still need a computer with polling control and, probably, a call accounting software. JerryReeve

I have in the past used a serial dumb terminal for this purpose works good. people are throwing these items out in the garbage.

I have MICS 5.0. How can I hook-up either a printer or PC serial port to the unit ? (What wire terminals ?, Software set-up on Switch ?)

Probably it's easiest to get a SMDR box for it. You can plug it between the wall and any station, and you can set it to track all calls on the system, or just calls to/from a particular phone. They're frequently available on e-bay.
