Suddenly unable to record Greeting- on IPO 500 V2 Visual VM- Returns to main menu

Hello,
When we press the Greeting option in Visual Voicemail, we are now kicked out to the main menu, where it worked until last week. See this video

I have heard that this issue can be related to a read-only SD card, but people can leave incoming messages, which I thought were being recorded on the card as well, though they can be choppy/missing some parts of the message lately, and it could be an issue with only a particular menu becoming read only.

Is there any potential solution for this that is less drastic than formatting the SD card and restoring from backup, as this thread suggests

To clarify: We get kicked out to the main menu when when we press the envelope/voicemail button, then arrow-down to and press Greeting, then press Record.

The end of the 2nd paragraph should have been, ".. it could be due to only a particular Directory becoming read only."

If that is the issue- a directory suddenly becoming read-only, why would that be? Just corruption? I've never seen that happen with SD cards used for general storage. Is there any way to avoid it?

What version are you running? (Sounds like corrupt SD.)
