Hi, I am running a 320GB WD as a master and a 60GB WD as a slave, both 7200rpm on my XP pc. They have been working perfectly for months, but suddenly my second hard drive (the 60GB) was not detected. I Shut down, and re-adjusted the cables and after a while of swapping around got it to work. Now midway through doing some work IN the 60GB drive, I get an error message... I close the window, return to My computer.. select the 60GB HD again and get this message: The disk in drive D is not formatted, do you want to format it now? I have alot of info in there and my question is... first does anyone know why this is happening but most important, is there a way to access the drive so that I can back up my files?

Thank You.

I apologize to tek tips admins if I am crowding with my thread. But heres an update, I just restarted and I was allowed to open drive D, and am now copying all my files over and it seems to be working.
