Substring of last name from a full name field

Hello,

I have a name field that gives me firstname space lastname. I want to extract the last name from this field.

Any suggestions would be appreicated.

Is there a way to go from the right of the field and move towards the left to the first space? I have some with middle initial and am getting that in my new field.

You can use the InstrRev() function.

=Mid([MyField], InStrRev([MyField], " ") + 1)
