Hi,

All users on the local lan have their home pages pointed to the portal's FQDN.
When subscriptions arrive at the users mailboxes, the link to the document is pointing to the internal url and therefore causes problems. i.e.
Where do I change this on Sharepoint 1

Regards,

Julian

I'm having the same issue... when using the FQDN, some links point to the internal servername, specfically the links from within the search results pages.

I'd like to know how/where to change this.

SharePoint Portal Server Central Administration > Configure Alternate Portal Access Settings
Add Alternative Access Setting

maybe this works

Hi Guys,

Sorry I am a bit blank today....where do i find these settings? I have gone into the Sharepoint Portal Administration, but I cannot see the option anywhere. Do I need to go in through the shortcut inside "Network places"?

Julian

Hi Julian,

where "sharepoint1" is the name of your portal and "12412" is the port for central admin.

BTW the link for Central Administration is in your portal's Site Settings, under "General Settings" (last choice)
