I'm trying to import an Excel spreadsheet into an existing Access database table. I have checked and rechecked the column headings to be sure they are correct. As soon as I try to import the file, I receive the error message "Subscript Out of Range". What is causing this error?

ow are you doing the import - with code or using the normal access import data option? The reason I ask, is that the message you refer to usually only appears when running code, and it relates to an array. Does the Excel spreadsheet have an underlying macro, for example? Have fun!)

I'm using "File", "Get External Data". As far as I know, there is no macro in my spreadsheet. [ponytails2]

Sorry, I am stumped then. I have never seen this happen and cannot think of any reason why it should happen, as there should not be any subscript to be out of range. Have fun!)
