Hello,

Crystal Report XI and Sql Server DB

I have about 27 individual reports that need to be consolidated. Is it possible to place all these reports into one?

Thanks

Go for it! I had to do the same and created one with 41 subreports.

Two notes...

1.) Sub-reports CAN NOT contain Sub-Reports.

2.) Each Report / Sub-report will make a new SQL call to the database, so 27 SQL queries will run every-time the RPT is refreshed.

That is correct. It takes a good 1/2 hour to run my report containing the 41 subreports with each report selecting 2 years of data from a database with several million records to create the various monthly and YTD comparison statistics for management and staff.

You could look at merging some of the reports. High-level grouping can give the appearance of two different reports with just a single call on the database. Alternative detail lines can be shown or suppressed for different groups.
