subreport to force new page

This one has been driving me crazy. I have a subreport on a main report that lists identification codes (data type text). I need the subreport to force the main report to print a new page per increments of 16 codes. I.E. there can be a maximum of 16 codes on a page.

So, 1 - 16 would be on Page 1, 17 - 32 would be on Page 2, 33 - 48 would be on Page 3, etc...

The other information that is on the main report wouldn't change per page, just the info in the subreport (codes and associated info).

Has anybody had to do something like this? I would welcome any suggestions.

Thanks,

How are ya jender624 . . . .

Have you tried the [blue]Force New page property[/blue]?

You can find it in Access VBA help.

I've seen it - haven't played around with it yet. I was thinking that I could somehow create a field with the query that I'm feeding the subreport with, and set the value to a 1 for the first 16 records, a 2 for the next 16, a 3 for the next 16, etc...

Then I assume that I could include the new field as a section on the subreport, and set the force new page property to "after section"...?

Is there a manual way to force a new page through VBA, as opposed to relying on the "force new page" property?

This is pretty crucial to the project I'm working on, unfortunately, and I haven't had to treat a situation like this before.

Thanks,
