I have a main report that is grouped. On the last page of this report, Two (2) subreports need to be aligned Horizontally. The First is simply a sumation of the original report. The second (the problem) is also a sumation but catagorized differently. I am getting the correct totals on both reports. The problem is that when I include the second report It drops to the next page. It seems to be a problem with margins. When I click on the second report the dark line margin goes across the entire page width and thus drops to the next page. How do I get it to be included with the First subreport aligned horizontally across the page. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

First question is "Why do you need subreports to report summary data for a main report?"

Can you not store the summary values in variables and display them in the report footer?

Give us more of an idea of what your report does and how it is grouped...as well as how the current subreports are supposed to display their results.

The Main Report details information of costs per item. The subreports included on the last page detail only the grouped levels. For example

Item Application1 CostDetail CostDetail .......
Item Application1 CostDetail CostDetail .......
Item Application1 CostDetail CostDetail .......

Applic1. CDetailS CDetailS .......

Item Application2 CostDetail CostDetail .......
Item Application2 CostDetail CostDetail .......
Item Application2 CostDetail CostDetail .......

Applic2. CDetailS CDetailS .......

1st Subreport 2nd Subreport
Applic1. CDetailS CDetailSum WorkUnit1 CDetailS CDetailS
Applic2. CDetailS CDetailSum WorkUnit2 CDetailS CDetailS

The problem is that the 2nd SubReport drops to the next page and they need to be aligned horizontally as demonstrated above. We are duplicating existing reports from an old mainframe system

well I am not sure that subreports are needed but if you think so...ok.

Subreports do not grow sideways...only vertically so placing them side-by-side they should not interfere with eachother.
