Good morning,
I am working on a report with several subreports and I need help on an issue I am struggling with this morning.

The user has an opportunity to choose which of the subreports that they would like to include in the main report. I have successfully coded to make the subreports.visible = false for those the user does not require but there is still a blank space on the main report where they would normally appear. I'm looking to eliminate that space. I have set the canGrow and CanShrink properties of the detail section of the main report to true. Any suggestions?

Thanks for any help you can help the newbie!

Peggy

You may also need to set the shrink property on the subreport itself. Best Regards,
Mike

Ok, got the subreport space to go away setting the canGrow/Shrink property on each subreport. Thanks for that tip! Now I notice that my spacing between subreports is not consistent although I have formatted the vertical spacing to be the same and I have made all of the subreport controls on the main report the same size. Any other ideas??

Peggy

mmm - hard to say for sure but if the subreports can grow and they have inconsistent report header/detail/footer sections this could cause what you are seeing. try putting a border on your subreports to check this. Best Regards,
Mike

OOOPS...never mind, I figured out what was causing it! I have a subreport with no data sitting in there. Now to go tackle that one!
