I have a main report and a subreport in the details
section based on a group.
The subreport does not show all the records.
I have unchecked all the 'keep together' fields from the
subreport, except for the group in the main report
Also I have the "can grow field checked" with no luck.

Any ideas??

Are you saying that the subreport if run on its own would should all desired records, but that they are not appearing when the main report is refreshed?

What is your main report structure? Do you have the subreport linked to the main report? If so, is it on the group field? Why are you placing the subreport in the detail (this will cause it to execute for each detail record)?

That's what I am trying to do. My main report is like this:

GROUP HEADER( day1)
-------
DETAILS
employee1 field1 field2 .. subreport
---------

I am using a group, to group the results for each day (max 4 employees).
Then if you want to click on the subreport it shows details
based on each employee from another table in the database. The subreport is linked to a field to the foreign key from table 1.

If the subreport has too many records to display it shows only those which fit on the main page

Which version of Crystal?

And have you set the 'Can Grow' field for the subreport itself (viewed as a field in the main report)?

I am using asp net VS 2003 to publish the report on the web

The 'can grow' field is the only one I have checked as a field. All the 'keep together' are unchecked in the subreport (even in the fields inside).

I am keeping the 'keep together' only in the group.
The subreport still doesn't grow

Does it look OK as direct output from the Crystal report? Because I've used that function many times without problems. Maybe the problem arises at the web-publishing stage.

I think you are right. In another report (without a subreport) I still have the same problem. The web page does not grow to fit the results

By putting the "separate pages" to false seems to solve this.
It's too late to change profession :)
