Subform with Tab

I have a form and on that form a sub form. In the subform there are tabs to breakup the data that is being displayed. That is all working fine. The problem is when I add a new record to the subform. It ALWAYS jumps to a field on the 3rd tab.

i have ckecked the tab order and everything looks right there. I can not figure out how to make it default to the first field on the first tab when I click the add new record button.
