I have a subform that shows orders in a datasheet view, I would like to know how to sort those orders so that each time the user opens a the main order form, regardless of which customer it is, the subform will sort that customers orders in descending order from newest to oldest by job order number.

Thank you for your time and your efforts in helping me resolve this.

Do you have the subform based on a query or table? If a table, create a query and sort it the way you want and then base the subform on the query.

I appreciate your timely reply although I do believe I have found an adequate solution. I sorted the column/field in the subform datasheet view and then froze the column. I have since then exited and reopened the database several times and it appears to be holding the descending order format on the job order no. column.
