Subform not updating

I have a form (Main) with a subform (Orders) showing orders in datasheet view. There are several buttons on the main form that pull up different order entry forms which input the data into the table that the subform draws from. Unfortunately, once you close the entry forms and get back to the main form containing the subform, the subform does not update with whatever you just entered until you go to a different record on the main form and then back. I know this is a simple fix, but have been struggling for hours. Any help is appreciated.

Have a look at the Requery method!

That is what I have been trying to no avail! I put it in "got focus" to requery the name of the subform control, but am doing something wrong, apparently. Argh!
