I have a database form which includes a subform of itself. (Whilst reviewing a 'main' record I get to see all other records of the same table listed via the subform).

I was wondering whether on clicking on one of the sub-records I could have Access change the main-record to show the selected sub record?

This would allow me to quickly select another record from a simplified list (being my sub-records).

I have tried the DoCmd. without success ... and have had similar luck with searching.

Any hints would be appreciated.

You can use the recordset of the main form. For example:

Me.Parent.Recordset.FindFirst "ID=" & Me.ID
