Hi Folks

I was wondering if it is possible to access a subform from a main form through the use of a command button, or must the subform appear on the main form. My main form is too cluttered with items to add much more than a command button. Basically I want to be able to have a clients ID and address info on the main form and be able to access a subform linked automatically to that client displaying their purchase records.
Let me know if it is possible to use command button or if there is some other way. Thanks.

Yes, this is possible. I would take these steps...

1. Create a query for the purchase records. As criteria for the Client Id in this query, let's reference the Main Form's Client Id field like so:

Forms![MainFormName]![ClientID]

2. Create a second form for the purchase records base on the above query.

3. Now put a command button on the main form to open the second form.

Good luck... B-)
