I have a report with 6 different subreports. The subreports are based on queries. I am having a problem b/c the subreports are not displaying if there is no data. Is there a way to have the subreports headings display with a message like 'no data' as the detail? Something to keep in mind is that the subreports vary in size.

For example:
Bonus Report
main data - always displayed

subreport callbacks - not displayed if the employee has none

but would like it to display:

Callback Listing
(no data available)

or something like that

I haven't done this before but I would play around with making a text control contents change in the main report based on the hasdata property of the subreport. IIF control source or ON format event should do the trick. Let us know what works.

I am using the HasData property of my subreports to determine if they are empty and if they are generating a message box to my user. Could you possibly put a label on your main report that is only visible when the HasData property for the subreport is false? Hope that helps!
