I have a report that all fields exported correctly to Excel (data only). I created a subreport to bring in data around the middle of the page. The report looks fine but when I export to Excel, the page header comes over correctly and the subreport data ends up on the next row of the spreadsheet, then a blank row, the the data. It behaving like a carriage return is in the line of data. I hope that enough of a description to get some advice.

Thanks in advance!

We cannot see a file that is stored on your C drive.

You need to attach the subreport to vertical and horizontal guidelines, the same as you would your fields in order to optimize your export. It is harder to see that a subreport is appropriately attached, but you can tell by whether it moves correctly when you move the guideline(s). Test all guidelines. Also select all items in the section->format objects->make same size:height->align:bottoms. Then tighten up the section so that there is no room above or below the fields which are now all attached to the same horizontal guideline. With the vertical guidelines also attached to the sub, the sub will not move to the next line. I had the same problem and this corrects that.

I'd had trouble myself when Crystal 'helpfully' closing the gaps for an export. I had:
Code:
[b]Field1 Field2 Field3[/b]
Value1 Value2 Value3
                      Value3
Value1 Value2 Value3
Value3 got shuffled to Value1's column. I solved it by placing blank text-boxes in those columns when there was nothing to show.

It helps to give your Crystal version - 8, 8.5, 9, 10, 11 or whatever. Methods sometimes change between versions, and higher versions have extra options. In this case, it probably makes no difference.

I'm using Crystal v10. I know better and should have mentioned that. Will work on this and let you know.
Thanks!
