We are using Actuate 7 under a Maximo platform.

We are having some issues with Sub-reports.

When we create the sub-report and link the tables of the sub-report to the table of the main report, we get the rows in the sub-report duplicated. We are displaying the data in the sub-report under the After Section.

The sub-report is also placed under a Group Section of the main report.

Therefore it looks like :

Content ----- WonumGroup (Group of Main report)
|
|-----Content - ReportSection (Sub Report)
|
|
|---------After - Operation (This is the After Section of the sub-report where the data is duplicated when we put in fields).

Please help with any advice as to why this is happening.

Did you resolve this? I would look at the grouping you use and the fields in both the content and the after section. And after section prints right after the content and will display the results just like a content section. Unless you have a filter or some kind of manipulation on the field, you will get the same information that the content section has from the datastream

Yes, we did resolve this. Thanks so much for checking in on this.

hi there,

I'm having a [problem with a sub-report.
can you tell me if, by sub-report, you mean inserting a new 'report sectino' with its own datasource and content section etc?

are you using a global variable to pass in the parameter into the sub-report query?

thanks in advance,
Matt
