Hi - I have a form that contains information about clients and then a sub-form that contains the current status of that client - There is a history of the status on the sub-form- I set the oncurrent event and afterupdate events of the sub-form to me.allowedits = false

If I view the sub-form by itself it is fine and I cannot edit it - However, when viewing the sub-form via the form, I can add a record - ?????

Thanks for you assistance!!!!!

Try setting the me.allowedits = false on the Onload event of the subform, that make sure that it gets set correctly.

Thanks EarS - My real problem is that I have the form in "continuous forms" Obviously, someone will be able to add a new record.

When I change to since form view I lose the sorting - I want the user to see the most recent record. For some reason when I go to a single form view I cannot do that -

Thanks for you help!!!!!
