Can someone help me with correcting stuttering audios
....for example : "Well...com...com...com...com..come"
or :" You go...go...go...go...go...got...Mail "or
even music sometimes stutters.... Or even just a
rat-tat-tat-tat machine gun like sound which I recognize
as some kind of similiar stuttering? ?????

Look in Device Manager to see if:
The right sound device is there and the drivers are okay.
It'll also tell you if there's a problem with the device.
There are yellow xes anywhere.
If there are try to resolve them by loading the right drivers.

You might also try going to System Properties/Performance/File System and change the settings there to Typical role...server...then to Grapihics and turn down video acceleration.

Is it onboard sound or sound card?

Another place to look, go to Device Manager and find your hard drives. Select Properties and see if DMA is enabled for your drives. If not, enable it and reboot.

Everytime I reinstall Win98 or Win2000 I have to remember to enable DMA mode or I get choppy audio especially with the Windows start music.

I concur with Gargouille. Make sure you have correct
drivers and the latest version of DirectX might help.
Alot of other internet crap trying to load at the sametime
can cause this too.

Hey dabbler, that is just the fix for a problem I've been fretting about for a week. I'll have to file this one away for next time.
