Stutter Dial tone on NCC 2000 IVS

I have two stations, one analog, one digital, both are giving user stutter dial tone when going off hook. (This is definitely coming from the PBX, not telco.) I can't figure out why. I've checked their vmail boxes and neither has any messages; also checked the old Station to Station messaging feature, but neither has any messages from other stations. Checked Call FWD ALL and DND, just to make sure this wasn't a reminder tone for one of these features - no luck. Anyone ran into this before? (FYI, the digital station's MW lamp is not lit either; just getting the stutter dialtone.)

By the way, I just noticed the title of the post is incorrect; should read NEC 2000IVS, not NCC. Just to avoid confusion...

Still sounds like some sort of message issue. In command 200 create an access code that equals A146 (message search) Then dial the code and a 3 to cancel.

Fixin - That's the first thing I did, what I meant by "also checked the old Station to Station messaging feature,". The message search code was already in the numbering plan. When you enter it, it just says "MESSAGE NOTHING". Also there is no light on the Dterm. I even used the other MW Lamp Control Reset code - nothing. Any other thoughts?

Have you tried a system reset?

Check command 482>12> It should be set to a 1, 0=Stutter (aka Special) dial-tone. This is a system wide bit so, if it's on (0) all stations will have that tone if message waiting is set against it.

Okay, so I gave up and just deleted and reassigned the extensions accordingly and the stutter DT went away. So we can close this thread.
