Hi Guys,
I have just bought an ATI RADEON 9800 PRO graphics card. This card needs a bit more juice so it comes with a power extension cable, however, my motherboard (ASUS KD7-S) has no pwer connector on it apart from the standard 20-pin connector. My PSU has no support for additional cables and I'm using 2 HDD's so I don't know how to fit this extra bit of kit in. Any ideas concerning this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

If it's the same type connector that powers your HD then just get a power splitter and plug it in.

Every ATI card I've seen that requires the power adapter always came with a Y splitter in the box. Take another look. Once you find it, just unplug one of your drives, plug in the splitter and then plug in other ends of the Y to the drive and video card.

You are ok to use a splitter cable as long as your power supply can take the extra amps of the card.
