Stupid CIC numbers on 2000IPS

I built an additional CCIS route in a 2000IPS of mine following the CCIS programming guide, but when I try to enter CIC numbers for the trunks I get a Data Error and See CM3590.

The switch has been ini'd per the guide's instructions and the CCH is assigned in 3590/3591 for the correct route. My CCH is correct and does not conflict with any other routes, but I cannot CCC it in 3590 either. Any ideas?

I'm curious if the poblem is with my combination of cards in this system, but it seems most like a programming issue. The IPS already has a 24CCTA and 24PRTB, but I only had a 24DTA and SC01 available for this circuit, so I'm not sure if this might cause a problem.

The SC01 card is the "D" channel card for ISDN use. If this is CCIS, a SC00 card is needed and the EPROM's on the card need to be A1 revision. If they are CA or CB or CD or CE, you can replace those EPROM's with A1 chips to convert the card. Or you can use another 24CCTA.

The 24CCTA is equivelant to a 24DTA & SC00.
The 24PRTA is equivelant to a 24DTA & SC01.

If CCIS, 3590 for both routes (voice channel route and signaling channel route) must be set to 0 for "number 7 CCIS".

CIC numbers for CCIS are programmed in Command 3035. CIC numbers for ISDN are prgrammed in Command 3007.

I'm an idiot. It's an SC00 (I always get SC00 and SC01 mixed up and moved a PRI last week). And I must be tired. For some reason I was thinking I had to assign the CCH in 3590 when CCH is assigned to the route in 3591. Duh!

Well the circuit is up, but I can't pass the calls. I'm actually getting a busy signal when calling the far end instead of a fast busy/rest like I would expect.

Card revisions are okay. I've got a link light on the SC00 and 24DTA act light (bottom LED) is flashing. Clock source is also good (solid bright green). Routing looks good and MND is correct in cm857.

I'm out of ideas.

If your Link light is up on the SC00, then the circuit is mostly configured correctly. Have you double checked that the extentions you are trying do dial are set as A129 in command 200 and to the appropriate route and pattern in 8A4007? Also check that the originating point codes in the hub are the exact same number for every CCH.

It also helps to have the transmission speed set correctly. Set it to 48K and reset the card. Circuit came right up but had CRC errors. Went to the 2400 and reset that card. No trouble since. Simply stunning.

If the span configuration is D4 AMI, you must be set at 48K regardless. This setting is set on the SC00 card (or on the 24CCTA card). It is the 8 tiny dip switches on the the component side of the card.
