I am running cygwin's startxwin.bat on my windows machine and can successfully run any graphical displays and desktops from all my other solaris and redhat machines. Just not a new Solaris 10 machine I just configured. Xserver is running. I have a graphical display directly connected to that server that I can use BUT I am trying to access it remotely from my laptop which is on the same subnet I might add. I even try an "xhost +" but the prompt just hangs. The things I have tried are setting the DISPLAY to localhost, 127.0.0.1 and even the private IP address assigned to that machine. with :0.0 or :0 to no avail. Most of the time the prompt just hangs, when I change the DISPLAY to read 127.0.0.1:10.0 or something other then 0, it hangs... Dang!! Any thoghts?
