Hi,

I have never posted on a forum before, so here goes.
I have a new DPNSS link to one of my client sites, I would like to be able to transfer calls from my call center to theirs over this link. To do this I believe that I need to strip off the dialed digits and inset an "internal number", this I think I can do in the route pattern, however, if the DPNSS link is busy I want the calls to go out over a normal trunk but I do not know how to attached the digits for the originally dialed number, or if this is even possible.

Think I am slightly confused myself so if this is not clear then please just say and I will try and explain better.

Cheers

In a route pattern you can have 16 different patterns and when the first is busy, restricted(different tennant) or out of service, it will then go to pattern 2. If that is unavailable, busy etc.., it will then goto pattern 3 and so on and so on....

An example of what I think you are asking for could be set up below -

Direct number being dialled - 123456789
Extension - 6789
Trunk 1 - tie trunk.
Trunk 2 - outside trunk.

1) Group 1(Tie trunk) - Deleted digits = 5; Inserted digits is blank.
2) Group 2(Outside trunk) - Deleted digits = 0; Inserted digits is blank.

You then set your ARS Analysis for number 123456789 to go to the above programmed route pattern. If trunk 1 is busy, it will then route out over the outside lines to the real number.

Hopefully this solves your issue...

Regards.

Thats great thanks.
So if I had a load of different numbers with different internal numbers that I want to go over the DPNSS link I would need to have a different route pattern for each number?

As long the start of the numbers are the same, then the same route can be used. If the indial ranges are different, then you will need a different route pattern.

eg.
123456789 can use the same route pattern as 123450000, but cannot use the same as 987654321....
987654321 will need a different route pattern with deleting 5 digits to end up with an extension of 4321.

Regards...
