Hi Everyone,

I did some cleanup on my PC and for some reason my Stringedit.dll file has disappeared. It is used for the Format function. How can I get/buy/etc another one.

Thanks.

I cleaned up some off some temp and download files. Now none of my String formatting will work. It stops at the the function, displays, Cannot find project, jumps to the Reference list at entry "Stringedit 1.0 Type Library".

Is this a proprietory dll? or something you've written yourself? The normal string handling and formatting functions in VB6 don't use anything called stringedit.dll

Stringedit is not part of VB -- must have been something you downloaded.

This is a good reason to put your 3rd party stuff under source control (in VSS, CVS, Star Team, etc).

Silly me! I had some components checked that I didn't need and some that I did need not checked. It just looked like it need the Stringedit.dll (by the way, this belongs to Print Shop Pro). Thanks for telling me VB does not use this! I would have been stuck forever :)
