hi i am using a trust 240th webscan gold scanner, i am scanning some old photos and i am finding most of them seem to be suffering from a coloured streaking that goes across or along the length of the photo, even though the origional photo is perfect.
anybody know why this occurs and what can be done to correct it? i have a link to a pic i scanned and scaled down to show what i mean you can see red steaks across the top and green streaks along the bottom, its ruining the whole scan :(

Charged Coupled Device.

My guess is different: the three different color scans (red, green, and blue) may not be perfectly registered. When this happens there is usually a one or two pixel shift that can become noticable, as in your example.

Some scanning software will let you re-register the scans so that they coincide perfectly; some correction software can make the shift for you.

I would talk to Trust, as they may have an alignment or compensation tool for you to use.
