I have a user (ext 223) that, when you try to reach him from the auto attendant, it tells you that ext 22 does not answer. What could be causing this?

Specs: Octel VMX200 S. 2.0.1-2P
Avaya Definity G3si V. 5

(I know, old crap, but until we can afford new stuff, this is what I'm stuck with.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Has this ever worked?
Do you know how your menus are set up? Are you using an information table? Do any of the other options work OK?

If you do not know answers to these questions a place to start is to see what is being dialled out when you select the option.
At the @ prompt
@L TR
A menu is given, select all activity and C for continious.
You can see what is being dialled out and this may help you locate the problem to one area.
To abort the trace press escape.
Hope this helps

Does the 200 actually transfer out to 223? What type of integration are you useing?

Like Brian said the List trace facility will help you find the problem.

At the @ prompt type "l t 1" and press enter and the "c" for continous live traces and press enter.
