strange problem

we have a strange problem that is more annoying than anything else. when we try and log into the server through remote desktop or from the server it self most of the log on screen is black and all we see of the logon window is "Windows Server 2003" and the blinking cursor but we can't see the text boxes. I can still log in by tabbing to the different boxes and adding the credentials. if i get the password wrong all i see of the error box is the little caution symbol.

The server works fine but it makes it kind of hard to log into it. Anyone ever seen this before?

Does this happen from every pc? Run windows updates on the server. Also download the latest version of remote desktop from MS.

No its just this one server. But it also does it if you are sitting at the server and logging in from there too.

If it does that when you are physically at the terminal? then it more than likely a hardware problem. Start the server with video driver disabled. If it works after that then it could be a video driver problem or hardware at that REZ. Test it with a different video card. If it still does not work then you will have to restore system files, or worse format and reinstall. I recommend ghosting the drive before doing anything.
