Hi,

I've noticed that when i convert a .doc to .pdf (i use PDF Factory) the pdf puts a white border around the page.
For instance in Word, the first page is a picture, fitted to the width and height of the page. but when its converted to pdf, there is about 0.75 inch white border around the picture, therefore not fitting to page.
Is this something I can rectify in Word, or do I need to purchase pdf writer to change each pdf?

Many Thanks for any help

Hi,

Check your PDF-Printer settings (Letter/A4/completely different), especially page size and (if present) handling of images.

Cheers,
Andy

I've not seen this with either PDF995 or Adobe Acrobat, so it is probably a limitation of PDF Factory.

In Word, make the picture floating and then enlarge it so that it almost fits the page to the edges of the paper. Does that make it any better?

Hi,

Thanks, i think your both right, because it doesnt even give me page options or any settings in PDF Factory, it says to change page settings that i have to download Fine Print to re-scale margins, and i tried changing the picture in Word, enlarging and decreasing but it still puts the same margin around the page when i print to pdf factory. So I think thats the next step to download FinePrint, if not i'll try a new converter program.

Thanks for your advise
