Strange OWA Problem

I have a very strange problem that is affecting only one user. When the user in question uses the thick client (outlook 2007) eveything works fine but when the user comes to view their mailbox in OWA items that have been deleted or sent still show in the deleted items or outbox respectively. They can delete these from OWA but does anyone know why OWA is not syschronising properly with exchange?

I do not remember the exact time limit but Outlook running in Cached Exchange Mode does not update the mailbox instantly. Remember OWA is an instant update because its directly on the server and in Outlook you have the option of running in Cached Exchange Mode which doesnt sync changes instantly or in Online mode which updates the mailbox within minutes.

The outlook client isn't running in cached mode and the messages will still appear in OWA weeks later until they are cleared.

Any ideas?
