Strange... Meta keys...

I've written a script, that is quite large, large enough that I don't want to post the entire thing here, but I will post parts if you need to see them. My problem is that when I execute the script from the Compile/Edit dialog box, it works fine, but if I map it to a Meta Key, it doesn't work. The script is supposed to save a set of settings to a file, that is read the next time the script is run, and verify that the password entered is correct, amongst other things, but sometimes it doesn't save the file at all, but only when it's bound to a meta key...? Any thoughts? I'm at a complete loss as to why this would be!? THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I retract my previous statement...

It's not when I use meta keys... I have the script files (yes multiple files) on a flash drive, it's when I have the write protect on the drive that it does not write the file, but I am not writing to the device, I'm writing to the C:! But when I remove the write protect, it works fine? Any ideas? So I guess it's only when I can't write to the actual script file itself that it doesn't work?...

Do both the .was and .wax files exist on the flash drive? Are you running the compiled .wax file or the source .was file? Doing the later would cause the file to be recompiled, which could cause problems if it tried to write back to the write-protected flash drive. Does the script itself #include or access any files from the flash drive?

I am just using the .wax file, and yes the script does #include files from the flash drive, but those should be taken care of when it is compiled, correct?

Ohh, but I just thought of something, I'll have to check when I get a chance, but I think I might have used a temporary file, without specifying a path, oops! I think that might be my problem! Sorry guies!... My bad! Thanks for the response knob! I'll give it a try tonight... DOH!
