Hi,

We have a cluster of two 3300's running 4.2 SP1 and we have just installed a new vMCD running 4.2 also in another office.

I have configured all the network elements cluster elements and confirmed the IP Trunk is working but when I select the new vMCD element from the main controller and select sync, I get an error saying that its failed and to consult the logs.

The logs say the following:
The IP address <192.168.84.80> is used by Network Elements <SIP-Gateway> and <SIP-Proxy>. Cannot perform the SDS <Start Sharing> or <Sync> action.

I am not selecting this to sync, all I am doing is selecting the new vMCD.

I cannot work out why the system is complaining about this IP address, it is simply a SIP Proxy.

Not sure if anyone else has had the same issue?

Thanks

do you have a network element with the same IP address?
it could be a SIP proxy that has the same IP address
