Here is my setup

2x PIII 800 CPUS
768 RAM
4 x 80gig Hard Drives (Raid 0/1) - Total of 160 GIG Mirrored
3 COM NIC

I am using SBS2003 CD. I am not installing R2

During update of the AD Scema to add Exchnage componets i get the following error.

I have looked all over MS Site and searched google which came up with a few things all of which i tried and it does not seem to fix the problem.

"Setup Failed while installing sub-componet Microsoft Windows Active Directory schema update with error code 0xC103798A (Please consult the installation logs for a detailed description). You may cancel the installation or try the failed step again."

If no one has any ideas i am going to replace this server with a new one. I just don't feel like spending any money to buy new hardware.

Thanks

Nick

I already Tried that and it did not work.

D is valid and F is not.

I have not seen that KB yet. I will try it tonight and see if ti works. I was leaning towards a DNS issue anyway.

I am not sure if it matters but the SBS cd i am using is not R2

Could the problem be about paths? I'm looking at that initial the "path not found" error you are getting. Is it an original cd, or is it a cd that was made by copying files from an original, or burning an ISO?

Other people with the issue also have the F:\ paths, but they aren't dealing with the "cannot find the path specified" error. You might want to focus your research on that phrase and other key words.
