Good evening friends,
Got a strange error. Had a T1 and upgraded to a T2. Backed up all the pertinent user data and installed from scratch the Palm software that came with the T2. Did the initial hotsync without issue. However, when I copied the user data back in and tried the hotsync again (setting all options for Desktop overwrites Handheld), I get the following error on the Palm immediately after the sync:

SystemMgr.c, Line:5852, SysLinkerStub():Failed to load the shared library

A soft reset just brings the error up again. Have to do a hard reset to eliminate the problem (and the data).

Was hoping someone had seen this error before. Palm's response was typically canned.

Thanks!

on when you do a hot sync are you installing the softwares also because normally when u do hot sync with older t1 daTA IT WILL TRY TO INSTALL THE T1 SOFTWARES ALSO THE SOFTWARES OR STORED UNDER C DRIVE PROGRAM FILES AND THEN UNDER PALM DIRECTORY UNDER UR PPROFILE NAME , BEST WAY U CAN TEST IS CLICK ON THE HOTSYNC OPTION OR CUSTOM OR SETUP AND SAY THAT U DONT WANT TO INSTALL THE SOFTWARES FROM THE OLD T1.

Try moving HALSndLib.prc out of your backup directory, then do a restore.

Prang!
