The high pitch noise only occurs while playing a game? A certain game? I think the key is to isolate where the noise is coming from. The fix will depend on the source. Is it coming from the speakers? Is it coming from a particular fan? Take the cover off and see if you can isolate where it is coming from. Some pcs may have several fans, it usually doesn't hurt to put a pencil into a fan long enough to stop it to see if that is where the noise is coming from. The fact that you mention the lights dimming leads me toward the power supply. Switching supplies can emit high pitch sounds that vary under load.

the noise seems to originate from the mobo
the power light does not dim but blinks off and on
the game is a mild one(age of mythologie)

It's a warning. You are playing games and haven't done all your chores yet. Finish your work around the house and the noise will go away. [lol]

the problem is that it annoys my coworkers... and prevents me to take my daily ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

It's coming from a "crowned" capacitor on your mobo and your mobo will eventually die soon. Look at the tops of the
capacitors (barrel shaped things) they SHOULD be flat.
