RunningVB6 (SP5) on WinXP Pro SP1

I am trying to run the active X we created which had run before and has all the updated files to run but I try to run it from my IDE and I get the error message

System error &H80004015(-2147467243). The class is configured to run as a security ID different from the caller.

Anyone have even a clue ??
Thanks BeforeHand

Don't know if you got to solve this yet - just came across this and decided to see if you still needed help - Make sure the component you are trying to step through in the IDE, is in Interactive User mode on COM+. That's what's your problem.

Hello.
I got the same problem. I running W2000. Searching on got one microsoft page (sorry I forgot the address) that running Win2000 without "Client for Microsoft networks" installed throws this error. This error occurs just in case that you have one .exe file which call ActiveX .dll file in VB6 IDE.
After I install that "crazy Client" the message disapears.

Thanks to you both,

In the end I think we found it to be a permissions issue. When I was working on my machine physically at my desk everything was OK.

When I used a VPN and remote desktop connection I got the error.

I found it rather strange but the system sees me as a "different" user through the VPN but all is well now and I appreciate your taking time to share your knowledge.

Regards,

AJA
