Strange Error Message - E3511 unable to begin database backup 1

We're running ArcserveIT 6.61.
I'm getting Error Code 3511 which says unable to begin database backup.
I went to CAI web site and the solution they provided was
"Make sure the Database Engine is Running. This message may have been preceded by an error message from the Database Engine".

The Database Is running. And there was no error message from the Database Engine.

Any ideas would be much Appreciated!

My experience is that this is a transient message, assuming that it is the Arcserve database that is not backing up.
I would suggest a stop and start of the engine, and monitor for a couple of days.
Sorry if you've already done this.

I did stop and start the engine. Still got the same message. So I initialized the database. No more messages.

 
I use ArcServeIT v6.6 build 795 and I have been receiving exact the same error (E3511 unable to begin database backup) loads of times already. Inquieries with CA didnt bring any further yet. They recommended the same things, but also some checking programs for their database. However, while trying to restore files from (even older) tapes, de database seems to merge back from tape fine and the files are restored anyway. This makes me less worried about everything. Still stays a strange error.
