Hello!

Our environment:

Pure 2003 Domain, only XP Workstations. User get only their home folder automatically connected. Other network drives will be created with the explorer or "net use".

Problem:

A user has two net drives:

g:\homexyz
h:\branchxyz

"g:" is the automatically connected homefolder, "h:" manually per explorer. During the course of the day, not at same time, these two drives are duplicated several times. For example:

g:\homexyz
h:\branchxyz
i:\homexyz
j:\branchxyz
k:\homexyz
l:\branchxyz
m:\homexyz
n:\branchxyz

Their ist no script, no GPO, no Regkey and no program I found which could cause this behavior. After next reboot the additional drives are disappeard. Any ideas?

Regards
Michel

Their is no "Fast user switching" in Domains.

I apologize, you did say that in your original post.

Is discovery on for network resources?
Control Panel | Folder Options | View option turn off:
. Automatically search for network folders and printers

Is there any point in which you are using the net use * syntax?

No problem, thanks for your answer.
"Automatically search for network folders and printers " is activated. I'll deactivate it. Let's what happens.
