strange backup failures

Hi

All of my data is being successfully backed up yet the backups always fail, giving the following errors in the log file:

An error occurred while exporting the RSM Database files.

The RSM Database could not be backed up.

An error occurred while exporting the WMI Repository files.

The WMI Repository could not be backed up.

^ ^ ^ ^ ^
An error(s) occurred while exporting Windows 2000 feature(s) for backup.

Please see previous error(s) contained in the log file for details.

Does anyone know what is causing this or even what the RSM database or the WMI repository is?
