can ColdFusion store images?
has anyone seen great examples of catalogues & shopping carts?

ColdFusion doesn't store anything, you need a database for that. ColdFusion is what interacts with the database that's storing your records, images, product lists, etc...

There are a lot of ColdFusion applications for shopping carts and catalogue type sites. If you could give some more detail as to what you're looking for I'm sure we will be able to point you in the right direction.

Hope This Helps!

Hi Ecobb,

I'm just wanting example of good user experience for searching throuugh a catalogue, I've got to make an online catalogue for my brother's wholesale parts business. I just want to make a good one.

You can use CFFILE to upload an image file to the server, then
do whatever CF code you want to have it displayed on the site.

As far as file management, CFFILE can do quite a lot, at least most of the basic stuff. (Uploading, deleting, moving, renaming, etc)

Hope that helps,
MG

yes guys, thanks, they're both good, but I'm still looking for examples, I'm a hungy so and so. I wish I could find a catalogue that one of us has made so it would produce a pop-up window like the one when you "mark this post as a helpful/expert post" or a one click experience like they have on amazon.com. I was just wishing for a small man's version of that, or something that looks ace. But I still say thanks.
