My programmers are telling me that in PB7 a data window supports only 255 chars when using varchar. Is this true?and if so what are my alternatives?

if u really need to use long fields, you'd creating a text field.

if you need you can mail me.

luck

This is a fuction of your DBMS and not PB. MS Sql Server 2000 raised the varchar limit to 8000. I'd avoid text columns if at all possible.

Appears that a PB7 datawindow allows to store around 32k characters in a SQL Server varchar field but retrieving the same record it only gets 255 characters. From what I have been told this works fine in PB8 and PB9. Are there any tricks to make it work in PB7?
