StorEdge L9 tape library problems?

Hello all just trying to see if anyone else is having problems with StorEdge L9 tape library. I am having problems with tapes getting jammed.

I have had trouble a few times with tapes getting jammed. What type of tape drive is in the L9 ?
With DLT drives lhey can sometimes drop the leader that is used to load the tape.
With Super DLT drives you can have problems if you use ordinary DLT cleaning tapes.

Thanks, what do u mean by droping the leader?

The leader is in the drive and hooks into the end of the tape to pull it into the drive.
Is it only certain tapes getting jammed ? This could mean the tapes themselves could be damaged.

these are new tapes. we have had 3 more problems with this type of drive.
