Hi all,

I have to build a report based on data that is stored in a table.

The data of this table is the result of a stored procedure which parameters are given prompt of my report.

Furthermore, I want this report to be published on IWR.

Does anyone have an idea on how to do that?

Many thanks,

Graham.

In fact, I have to build a report which takes 2 parameters P1 and P2.

As the calculation of data cannot be done just using a cognos report, I have created an Oracle Stored Procedure which takes these 2 parameters and populates a table with required data.

So, I would like my report to:
- Get the 2 parameters from the user
- Launch my stored procedure
- Display the data that is in my table

Many thanks for your help,

Graham.

We did something similiar to this by:

1) Creating the stored procedure to accept two prompt values. The procedure then created a few temp tables and then we did a final SELECT on a final temp table to return data.

2) Created an Impromptu report which passed the two parameters to the stored procedure and formatted the returning output.

3) Created a Powerprompts application that passed the two parameters as strings to the Impromptu report (the stored procedure converted the strings to required numerics that the stored procedure required.)

That's pretty much how we invoke stored procedure reports from our IWR server.
